The School of Faith’s John-Mark Miravalle, an author whose articles have been published in a number of journals and who also teaches theology and philosophy at the School of Faith, presented medicinedrop.com the negative argument and John Corvino, Ph.D., chairman of the philosophy department at Wayne State University and co-author of the book “Debating Same-Sex Marriage” presented the affirmative argument.
Through a $10 admittance fee, we were able to raise over $1,200for Water for People, a charity agreed upon by the two debate speakers. Water for People is an international aid organization that works to ensure access to safe drinking water and sanitation for impoverished people in developing countries. No proceeds from the ticket sales went to either the atheist coalition or the School of Faith.
